Mumbai Indians Full Squad And Full Schedule For IPL 2023
Mumbai Indians (MI) joined the IPL 2023 auction looking to fill nine unfilled seats with the remaining 20.55 crores. The five-time IPL champions finished eighth in the IPL 2022 points standings despite losing as many as 10 games and winning only four. CSK finished ninth with the same number of victories and losses as MI. Mumbai is placed in Group A along with KKR, DC, LSG, and RR.
The IPL 2023 was auctioned off on December 23 in Kochi. In all, 991 participants were initially designated for the auction. 714 Indian athletes and 277 international players collectively made up the field. 21 players, all of them are international sportsmen, have committed to playing for a base fee of 2 crores.
The final player list was then cut by the BCCI from 991 to 405 names. A total of 369 competitors were shortlisted by 10 teams, however 36 more athletes were eventually requested and added to the final list. 273 Indians and 132 international players—four of whom are from partner nations—make up the 405 participants. The IPL 2023 mini-auction will also feature 119 players with caps, 282 players without caps, and 4 players from partner nations.
